Festival Information

TARBOO takes place in Quilcene, WA at the Quilcene Lantern, a beautiful 53 acre property comprised of farmland, wetlands, and forest.  The address is 7360 Center Road, Quilcene WA 98376.  Just 10 miles from the Hood Canal Bridge off of highway 104, The Lantern is a 45 minute drive from the Bainbridge Ferry and a 30 minute drive from the Kingston Ferry.

Camping + RVs

We are pleased to offer tent camping on the beautiful Quilcene Lantern property. Camping passes are offered per-person and must be purchased in conjunction with a festival ticket.

Dispersed tent camping will be located in the fields and tree groves on the property and will be first come first serve with a pre-purchased reservation. Potable water, porta potties, and hand washing stations will be available within a maximum 100-yard walking distance from tent sites.  Most campsites are not accessible by car, but off-roading wagons will be available to transport camping gear from the parking lot to the campground. Limited car-camping space will be available on a first come first serve basis. Please note that we are requiring a maximum 2-foot distance between tents in order to accommodate all of the campers.  Please expect to have your neighbors within that proximity.

Quiet hours in the campground are between midnight and 8 AM and will be enforced. Be respectful of your neighbors and please keep noise to a minimum after-hours. If you’d like to socialize after-hours, please walk to any number of great spaces that are away from campsites.

Policies

No Outside Alcohol

Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board regulations prohibit outside alcohol at the event. Any campers in violation of this policy will be asked to take their alcohol back to their cars.  Beer, wine and cider will be available for purchase at the festival.

Cannabis

While cannabis is legal in WA state, it is illegal to consume cannabis in public.  Cannabis is not allowed at the event.

No Weapons

TARBOO is a private event and as a private event, weapons are not permitted beyond our festival entrance.

Safe Space

The TARBOO team and Quilcene Lantern believe in the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. TARBOO and all Lantern events implement safe spaces for people of all identities and backgrounds.

FAQs

Can I leave the festival grounds and re-enter?

Yes. Re-entry is allowed. If you paid for parking, keep your parking pass with your vehicle for re-entry.  Returning vehicles may be directed to the overflow parking lot.

Can I use a stove or BBQ at my campsite?

We allow bottled-gas powered camp stoves and small grills at campsites.

Can I volunteer at the festival?

We welcome and depend on volunteers! Volunteer information and applications coming soon!

Parking?

There is a daily parking fee at TARBOO. Please follow the ticket link to see prices. In/out privileges are allowed, however space is not guaranteed in the main parking lot upon return. Returning vehicles may be directed to the overflow parking lot. Parking should be purchased in advance and all parking pass sales are final.

Are pets allowed?

We love your pets! But for the safety and ease of all, including our goats, pets are not allowed at the Quilcene Lantern during the festival.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Due to WA State liquor laws, no outside alcohol is allowed on the premises. However, our bar at the Milkshed Barn carries beer, wine, and cider at affordable prices.

Does Tarboo happen regardless of the weather?

Yes! Regardless of weather, the festival will run. The main performances and amenities are inside a 100 year old barn, so rain or extreme weather will not affect the main stage.
