Festival Information
TARBOO takes place in Quilcene, WA at the Quilcene Lantern, a beautiful 53 acre property comprised of farmland, wetlands, and forest. The address is 7360 Center Road, Quilcene WA 98376. Just 10 miles from the Hood Canal Bridge off of highway 104, The Lantern is a 45 minute drive from the Bainbridge Ferry and a 30 minute drive from the Kingston Ferry.
Camping + RVs
We are pleased to offer tent camping on the beautiful Quilcene Lantern property. Camping passes are offered per-person and must be purchased in conjunction with a festival ticket.
Dispersed tent camping will be located in the fields and tree groves on the property and will be first come first serve with a pre-purchased reservation. Potable water, porta potties, and hand washing stations will be available within a maximum 100-yard walking distance from tent sites. Most campsites are not accessible by car, but off-roading wagons will be available to transport camping gear from the parking lot to the campground. Limited car-camping space will be available on a first come first serve basis. Please note that we are requiring a maximum 2-foot distance between tents in order to accommodate all of the campers. Please expect to have your neighbors within that proximity.
Quiet hours in the campground are between midnight and 8 AM and will be enforced. Be respectful of your neighbors and please keep noise to a minimum after-hours. If you’d like to socialize after-hours, please walk to any number of great spaces that are away from campsites.
Food and Drink Vendors
-
Mark Ennis runs THE BEST pizza truck on the peninsula and most likely in the whole PNW… He’ll be joining us for all three days of the festival!
-
This one is a treat! Bumbu Truck will be serving Indonesian food on Friday, July 4th. And guess what… It’s run by Alda’s (Chong the Nomad) parents!!!!
-
Ice cream made with love not dairy! Amanda and her incredible hand-crafted ice cream will be joining us for July 4th and 5th (Friday and Saturday).
-
Whitney and Second Child will be doing tastings of their natural wine on Thursday, July 3rd!
-
Winemakers Fossil & Fawn join us on Friday, July 4th for wine tasting!
Fossil & Fawn is the wine project of business-and-life partners Jenny Mosbacher and Jim Fischer. What started out as 50 cases of Pinot noir from our home vineyard in 2011, is now a production of about 5000 cases across 10+ wines with grapes sourced from throughout the Willamette Valley. Although the scope has evolved significantly, the spirit of the original goal remains the same: to make vineyard-forward, low-intervention wines that honor the land and history of the place while remaining open to experimentation and fun.
-
Chimacum Grainery joins us for beer tasting on Saturday, July 5th!
For us at the Grainery, beer is one more wonderful way to share the goodness that grows from the green and gold fields of Chimacum. It’s nothing less than magical to stand in a sunbathed barley field in summer and realize that the land is drinkable!

You can find them beachcombing around the PNW and incorporating their finds into unique adornments. Each piece is made from sterling silver and durable for the everyday wearer.

Policies
-
Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board regulations prohibit outside alcohol at the event. Any campers in violation of this policy will be asked to take their alcohol back to their cars. Beer, wine and cider will be available for purchase at the festival.
-
While cannabis is legal in WA state, it is illegal to consume cannabis in public. Cannabis is not allowed at the event.
-
TARBOO is a private event and as a private event, weapons are not permitted beyond our festival entrance.
-
The TARBOO team and Quilcene Lantern believe in the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. TARBOO and all Lantern events implement safe spaces for people of all identities and backgrounds.
-
As much fun as it is to light off fireworks for the Independence Day holiday, The Quilcene Lantern is a fireworks free campus. Our dry season is getting increasingly intense each year due to climate change, and we take the risk of forest fires seriously.
-
We are a family owned and operated venue and festival! That means we have limited human power as it is, and it helps our team immensely to not have to clean up unnecessary messes!
-
Quiet ours on the festival grounds are from 12am until 8am each day of the festival.
